It's always been worth taking a little time to work out what the real question is. Perhaps even more so now, as so much attention is put onto the short-term (and often misleading) metrics. It's what my clients and I do and it's never failed to deliver.
These are just four examples of a valuable way of thinking. I can't think of a situation in which creating clarity either has not, or would not, help.
